Section 1602 of the civil practice law and rules is amended 2 by adding a new subdivision 13 to read as follows: 3 13. not apply to any person who shall be injured in person, property, ______________________________________________________________________ 4 means of support or otherwise, by reason of the intoxication or impair- ________________________________________________________________________ 5 ment of ability of any person under the age of twenty-one years, whether ________________________________________________________________________ 6 resulting in his death or not. Such injured party shall have a right of ________________________________________________________________________ 7 action to recover actual damages against any person who knowingly causes ________________________________________________________________________ 8 such intoxication or impairment of ability by unlawfully furnishing to ________________________________________________________________________ 9 or unlawfully assisting in procuring alcoholic beverages for such person ________________________________________________________________________ 10 with knowledge or reasonable cause to believe that such person was under ________________________________________________________________________ 11 the age of twenty-one years in violation of section 11-100 of the gener- ________________________________________________________________________ 12 al obligations law. ___________________ 13  2.
