       AN ACT to amend the civil practice law and rules, in relation to mileage
         fees in the city of New York of the sheriff of the city of New York   
                                                                               
         THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:                                               
                                                                               
    1    Section  1.  Subdivision (d) of section 8012 of the civil practice law
    2  and rules, as amended by chapter 218 of the laws of 1987, is amended  to
    3  read as follows:                                                        
    4    (d) Mileage fees in the city of New York. For mileage travelled wholly
    5  within the city of New York the sheriff of the city of New York shall be
    6  entitled  to  {fifteen}  TWENTY-FIVE  dollars  payable  in  advance,  as
    7  provided in section {eight thousand eleven-a} EIGHT THOUSAND  ELEVEN  of
    8  this chapter.                                                           
    9    S  2.  This  act  shall  take  effect on the first day of October next
